Jay Cutler Bodybuilder
Jay Cutler had the origins of his bodybuilder career as far back as the age of 11. He was born in 1973 in Worcester, Massachusetts and began working t his brother’s construction company when he was 11. This summer and weekend job developed his muscles and strengthened his work ethic. During high school, Jay Cutler went to the usual parties and entertained his classmates by lifting cars. Even then, he had the beginnings of a star athlete.
Due to his muscular physique, the local high school football team coaches were anxious to have him play, but he admits that he really did not enjoy the game of football.
At the age of 18 at the local community college Quinsigamond Community College,
Jay Cutler discovered bodybuilding and began to train. At the age of 20, he entered his first competition. In 1993, Jay Cutler took first place in both the NPC Teen Nationals and the Iron Bodies Invitational. 2 years later, he took first place in NPC U.S. Tournament of Champions, men’s heavyweight division.
In college Jay Cutler turned professional, he had discovered his passion and his vocation in bodybuilding and he discovered his wife to be, Kelly. In 1998, Jay Cutler married Kelly and placed 11th at the Night of Champions. Jay Cutler improved in 1999 coming in third at the Ironman Pro Invitational, 4th place at Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic, and 14th place for Mr. Olympia.
2000, was an intense year for competition for Jay Cutler as his body began to come into its own and the results of his determined training and dedication bore fruit. In 2000 Jay Cutler was the Night of Champions 1st place, Mr. Olympia, 8th place, Mr. Olympia Rome, 2nd place and English Grand Prix, 2nd place.
In 2006 and 2007 he took first place at Mr. Olympia and was defeated in 2008, in 2009 Jay Cutler came back and took the title again, the first competitor to ever regain first place after losing it.
Jay’s first job, he admits was one he disliked getting out of bed early to haul concrete on weekends and summers but he learned early that to achieve anything you must work hard and persevere and that nothing in life is given to you. These shows in his determination while training where he may even get up in the middle of the night to eat and fuel his body. His stolid dedication to his workouts where he pushes his body to the utmost for up to 4 hours a day show his joy in competition and his determination. His adherence to his diet is amazing and even in off-season Jay Cutler still adheres to a diet (though modified) and a training program. For Jay Cutler a “cheat food” is fat-free frozen yogurt.
Jay Cutler is renowned for a body as near perfect as possible and his scientific approach to training and diet. To be the best in bodybuilding he literally dedicates body, soul, and an iron will that matches his physique.
